Walking in Austin in the winter along a beautiful path, people are filming sports people talking back to back. Practicing golf swings. And talking about sports. I think how nice it is, warm in the winter. But the path beneath my feet gets a little swampy, my feet get wet and I try to stay on a dry ridge. Then I think about the possibility of snakes in there and I remember why I like living in the north. Then I step on something rigid and see it’s the tail of a giant alligator swimming by.
