01.sappho.outofThyme : Takes place in a campsite. There's a trailer with many circular devices to measure air, temperature, etc. on the walls of the trailer. Two women, both acquaintances from my past, are in the trailer. They shun me. They act very cold and catty towards me as if I'm the constant topic of ridicule and belittlement. I am alone and I feel unpopular and unwanted. I notice that the trailer can turn into a house, a gabled house, with a push of a button. I exit the trailer. There's a man outside by a car. He's the husband or boyfriend of one of the two women. He's holding a bomb in his hand and placing it to his ear. I look puzzled. He explains that it's a phone. "But what if time runs out?" I ask. He replies, "I'll just use another." I thought to myself, "A phone card would be cheaper, only 20 cents a minute." The two women complain that it is cold, and they want to leave. The want the man to hurry up and do what he needs to do. But I think to myself, "We just arrived and now they want to leave?' The man finishes what he needs to finish and the women and I get in the car. I offer to drive. One of the women just rolls her eyes at me and glares. I sit in the back, while they sit in the front. |
